Collector

Department: Collections
Location: Indianapolis, IN

Now is an exciting time to join our team here at Coastal Credit, LLC!

Coastal Credit is a National Sub-Prime Auto Lender with 30 years of success in the Automotive Marketplace. We are currently looking for a Collector to join our team here at our headquarters in Indianapolis.

Position Summary

This position makes inbound/outbound calls on delinquent accounts each day and is responsible for the delinquency and charge off of an assigned group of accounts. He/She needs to help solve customer issues related to reasons for not paying while always striving to keep customers away from repossession.

Responsibilities

-        Manage collections on a portfolio of sub-prime auto finance receivables

-        Make outbound calls to customers to obtain payment on past due payments

-        Take inbound calls from customers related to taking/scheduling payments, updating customer information, and other customer service inquiries

-        Ensure delinquency and charge-off goals are obtained

-        Proactively monitor accounts and address a variety of issues

-        Provide customer service to our dealers and customers

-        Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

-        Previous collections experience required; auto collections preferred

-        Knowledge of State and Federal Collection laws

-        Proficient in bankruptcy, repossession and legal collection procedures

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
